Interview by Chibita
– This time you performed as three-man, so what impression did you get from the other singers?
soshi: ryo-san and also sono-san have the typical singers' atmosphere.
I think they have a different auras.
ryo: I'm acquaintance of Sono-kun since some time ago. While listening to the rehearsal I thought "as I expected", his voice was outstanding and matched perfectly.
Sono: Thank you so much (laughs).
ryo: It's the first time I see soshi-kun, the glint in his eyes...*(see translation note at the end)
Sono: I thought the same!! (laughs)
ryo: They're bright...(laughs)
Sono: He shines. I think that soshi-san is gorgeous.
ryo: His eyes talk for him.
soshi: Hahaha. That's a good thing, right?
– Even during the lives they say you're really cool (also good looking).
soshi: That's only because I make them say that! It's their obligation (laughs)
– Because of the out loud callings during the live, does the tension change?
soshi: No, It basically doesn't change. I got into high spirits to some extent that the public has to respond because the demand doesn't stop.
– The rest of you are like that, you receive yells from the audience and your tension rises?
soshi: I really want to know it!!
ryo: Compared to when I started this band, I usually demand public's voice. I say them directly: 'Let me hear your voices', so if I've got loud voices as response, the tension really rises.
Sono: That's it.
ryo: The voice gets out and reaches the stage, and then (those feelings) get into our bodies. Then I carry out those feelings to the limits.
Sono: In my case, There's that interaction when I scream, the public scream. No matter how much time passes, that's how lives are. That's the best of them, right?
– Now that we have a dialogue between vocalists I want to expand that topic. Do you smoke?
ryo & Sono: I don't smoke!
soshi: Ah?? Is that true? Even though also I don't smoke...
ryo: I used to smoke but...(laughs)
Sono: (I quit) last year.
ryo: I stopped 5 years ago.
Sono&soshi: 5 years!! Are you serious!?
ryo: Yes, I used to smoke a lot. Since middle school. But when you quit smoking don't you have phlegms when you sing?
soshi: That's it! That's right!! That's the mainly reason why I gave it up.
ryo: I think it's been a lot! (From smoking to stop.)
ryo: I think it's been a lot! (From smoking to stop.)
soshi: The ones who don't smoke can get fast top-speed.
– How do you take care of your throat?
soshi: Before the lives I've got something from the members that is like something to inhale, it makes “push” and it has a ryukakusan stick.
ryo: Ah! I also have of those!!
soshi: ryo-san also have them?? They're rustling, like a medicine but it's not real medicine. Even if you take it without water your throat gets somewhat wet. In someway I use them to relax.
ryo: In my case I knew about that from a sempai that gave me some called “karaugai”.
soshi: “karaugai”?
ryo: I said that freely. The vocal cords make a sound like “Aaaaarrrr”. They become husky but the voice gets out well.
soshi: Something like this? (With Ju-on's Sadako's voice.)
ryo: Yes! Yes! The vocal cords are muscles so, when the muscles stiffness, since the air can't flow properly the voice gets rubbed. So for effect, when you pull those muscles, the air can pass making the vocal cords vibrate. Consecuently, the voice gets out all messy!!

soshi: I really understand it! There is that way (roaring) to care of your throat.
ryo: Maybe depending of the area the way of screaming it's different.
soshi: I go to voice training. What I was told there is that I roar. Then, I take ginger black tea. I take it with honey. You won't catch a cold and your vocal chords will be cool.
– Some people only drink canned tuna's oil.
soshi: Ah! I do it. I do it.
Sono: Eeeh! That's absurd!
soshi: But it doesn't have any sense to drink it only after the performance, it has to be every day.
